L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau de Teint

I've had this foundation for quite a while now as I snapped it up almost as soon as it came out.  In reviews it was being compared to Georgio Armani Maestro foundation, and seeing as I can definitely not afford that one I thought this one would be good to try.

I bought it from Boots, £9.99, in the shade 100 Porcelain.  As you can see in the photo below it has a very runny consistency.  The bottle instructs you to apply it using your fingers but I am not a fan of finger application (I'm basically too lazy to wash/wet-wipe my hands before continuing with the rest of my face).  I have used various buffing style brushes and they've all worked well. I find these denser brushes work better than a stippling brush or traditional brush for watery foundations.

Upon application it felt a bit like a liquid to powder foundation, but without the heavy coverage.  I would say it has light coverage which you could build up to medium.  I needed to powder my t-zone afterwards as I have oily combination skin.  It lasts about 4 hours before I feel the need to touch up at all, which for me is about average.

Unfortunately Porcelain is the lightest shade, and as you can see from the photo it is too dark and yellow-toned for me.  I can just about get away with it by using Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light afterwards to pink me up a bit and avoid the dreaded jaw/neck miss-match.  However I am giving it away to someone it will match better and hopefully one day L'oreal will release a lighter, more pink-toned shade.
