Next in my OCC Lip Tar series are the lighest and darkest shades that I have. Some of these I happily wear on their own, others are good just for mixing new shades or giving a colour a different finish. I've made a video showing how each Lip Tar looks on my lips, below, and further down in the post there are photos showing the similar colours side-by-side.
If you are new to my blog then I'll just let you know that OCC Lip Tars are my favourite lip products ever! I love how versatile they are and how massive the colour range is. They are highly customisable and very hygienic so a great kit staple!
Lip Tars L-R Feathered, Iced, Pris, Dune, Pleasure Model |
Feathered is white, great for mixing to make pastel shades. Worn on its own it settles in to lines quickly.
Iced is a metallic white, also good for mixing
Pris is a metallic champagne, great for dabbing in the centre of your lips
Dune is a Stained Gloss, a pale peach with lots of gold shimmer, stunning on its own or on top of something else
Pleasure Model is a pale pink with pink/lilac shimmer, great on its own or mixed
Lip Tars L-R Sybil, Nomal, Black Metal Dahlia |
Sybil is a deep, chocolatey brown
Nomad is another Stained Gloss and is a warm brown with red/gold/brown shimmer. It looks great on top of a red lipstick
Black Metal Dahlia is a deep berry red with red shimmer. Beautiful! It has a great, thick consistency too so is very easy to apply.
Lip Tars L-R Black Dahlia, Black Metal Dahlia |
Black Dahlia is a deep berry shade, slightly more pink/purple than Black Metal Dahlia. It looks black in the tube and in the above swatch but is much, much lighter on the lips. One coat makes it looks like a lip stain but you can build up its opacity.
Black Dahlia Lip Tar smudged out |
Lip Tars L-R Sebastian, Little Black Dress, Tarred |
Sebastian is a mid-toned grey, every so slightly warm. Surprisingly flattering.
Little Black Dress is a Stained Gloss and is a translucent black. Great for layering over another colour to deepen it.
Tarred is a straight up black but I find the formula, at least of mine, a bit patchy; it settles in to lines.
The colours I've shown that are currently available in the RTW form (in a hard tube with a doe foot applicator) are:
Sebastian, Black Dahlia, Black Metal Dahlia
What are your favourite Lip Tars? Do you prefer the 'matte', metallic or Stained Gloss formula?
